The 2008 Season kicks off this year at McLaren Park in San Francisco. After a stop at CandleStick, we introduce our first nighttime cross race. Sierra Point will be lit up and the final 4 races will be held under the lights!. See the Special Schedule for this race.

 
 

The prizelist this year gets a boost Thanks to our Presenting Sponsor Kaiser-Permanente/Team Oakland. All "A" level categories will be awarded with Cash for each race. The A Men and A Women will get $150 for the top 3, and the Master Men 35+ A, and 45+ A will get $75 for the top 3. The overall series Prize structure will remain the same.

  
  Also, due to popular demand, the womens race will take place just after the A men and the B men will round out the day this year.

Please note our Amateur Categories Prize List consists of Cyclocross-related Merchandise and is awarded at the end of the series at our final event at Coyote Point. There is no cash awarded to any of our Amateur Categories. Custom medals for top 3 at each event are presented on the podium along with Custom Leader’s Jerseys by Voler in all of our 15 racing categories.

***Note for Cat. “A” Men & Women – Overall series Cash Prizelist. Elite women will be 10 deep and the Elite men will be 15 deep. Here is how it works. For each rider entered, $10 is added to the overall season prizelist. Custom Series Medals will be awarded at each race to the top 3. Equipment – CycloCross or Mountain Bikes OK at all events.No forward facing handlebars. Entry includes USAC insurance surcharges and NCNCA surcharge. No late fee. Juniors must have signed release from parent. One day licenses available for all categories.

A Note about Numeric Categories - While it is nice that USA cycling is paying attention to cross, we don't feel that it is in the best spirit to hold people to a numeric category. We will maintain our system of riders self categorizing. If you need to look at it as a numeric system, It would be C=4 B= 3, and A= 1/2
